Back to Portugal for a visit.
Left Dublin at 4.00pm Tues 27th, and it was quite dull and overcast.
Arrived Faro around 7.00pm, and it had clouded over there too.
Weather was good over the next few days, not that I saw much of it.
(I don't think I was home before 5.00am any morning. I needed to get back to Dublin for a rest.)

Flight from JFK was uneventful and I didn't have a window seat.
Probably wouldn't have taken any pics anyhow as it was night and there was nothing to see.
Had a 1hr 45min stop off in Shannon airport before we did the final leg to Dublin airport.

Overcast day but very mild.
Went downtown to Canal St and then walked up through Little Italy.
I love the colours of the buildings and the external metal fire escapes.
I'd love to live down here.

Spent the early part of the day walking around Battery Park, Ground Zero and Wall St.
Bright day, quite sunny, but bitterly cold in the wind.
Walked along the waterfront freezing.
New Years day so a lot of tourists around, tried to find a bar open around Wall St but none were.
A lot of Irish bars in this area though.
2 of my sisters arrived today too.

Spent the day wandering up 5th Ave to all the famous stores and around the Rockefeller Centre.
Took a few pics of the trees decorated with lights in Herald Square and the Empire State lit up.

Stayed in a hotel in "Korea town" between 5th and 6th Aves.
I've been staying in this area for the last 4yrs, every time I get in to the city.
Macy's is on the corner of 6th just 2 blocks up and Empire State building is on 5th, so it's a great central location.
